The Welcome Home Workshop by Emma Case Photography, in Bristol
Ahh, I eagerly awaited this day for what seemed like ages. Would Emma be just as lovely and inspirational and kooky in real life or would I be disappointed? Well there was definitely no disappointment! As soon as I walked in the door I was enveloped in several hugs one after the other from several people, Emma herself, her lovely hubby Pete, and the fabulous Dawn and Lee of Shutterbox Films. It was such a warm welcome that the title of the workshop seemed truly apt. The other 8 people attending were just as welcoming and everyone seemed so excited to be there. We chatted, listened and ate cookies and I think everyone had a tear in their eyes at several points during the day.
ANyhoo, we had the opportunity to watch Emma in action later in the day shooting our gorgeous couple Naomi and Glen. The workshop was at the Paintworks in Bristol which is a GREAT place for photos, plenty of interesting backdrops and nice and spacious so we didn’t get in anyone’s way. After watching Emma for a while we had opportunity to take our own shots, as well as turning the camera on each other to give us a taste of our own medicine. A good exercise as strangely most of us felt ill at ease on the other side of the lense! Here are a few of my shots.
So there we have it. A great bunch of people, new inspiration galore and ideas a-plenty! Thank you Emma!
